Strain Profile

Mt Cook

Mt. Cook, also called “Mount Cook,” is an indica dominant hybrid (80% indica/20% sativa) strain created through crossing the classic Afghani X Thai strains. This bud fuses together everything that you love about traditional highs and flavors, wrapping them all up in one dense little package. The Mt. Cook high is like a smooth descent before a slow ascent – first you feel lifted before falling into sedation. It starts with a euphoric influx of happy energy that doesn't leave you feeling anxious or antsy. This cerebral boost quickly hits its peak before you start to descend into a happy tranquil sedation that leaves you sleepy and utterly relaxed. In combination with its super high 22-23% THC level and 4% average CBD level, these effects make Mt. Cook the perfect medicinal choice for treating depression, nightmares, insomnia, and chronic pain or muscle spasms. Mt. Cook has a classic flavor of sweet ash and spicy herbs with just a hint of rich pine. The aroma is slightly pungent with a floral berry overtone that's sweet and hashy at the same time. Mt. Cook buds have grape-shaped dark olive green nugs with long thin orange hairs and sticky sweet coating of syrupy resin.
