"Khyber is the result of an intensive two-year selection process involving over 1,100 phenotypes. Developed entirely from traditional South Asian landraces, this line pays homage to its namesake: the historic Khyber Pass, by preserving and modernizing the rich complexity of regional heirloom genetics. Khyber #9 was harvested at Day 84, dried and cured for 12 days, and emerged as a standout among only nine pink-stigma expressions identified during these two years. It is the only phenotype to retain its vivid pinkish-red stigmas post-harvest—contrasting beautifully against its dense, resin-rich green flowers. The aroma reflects its diverse lineage: layered floral myrcene overtones meet subtle fruit and tropical sweetness, making it as unique in scent as it is in appearance.
