Strain Profile

Kalalau Valley Kush

Kalalau Valley, Kaua'i -- perhaps the most gorgeous place on planet Earth. A pristine Hawaiian valley of unparalleled beauty, a place that captures the hearts and souls of all who set eyes upon her and swiftly sweeps away those blessed to have her serene surf caress their well worn and weathered toes after the spiritually uplifting 11 mile hike along the Na Pali (The Cliffs) Coast. Some are so taken by her beauty that they run away from "reality" to play never-never land with the fried pied piper, Uncle Peter Pan and his outlaw Hawaiian/hippy ukulele jam band with some pirates on the beach... Since the late 1970's helicopters have patrolled diligently dashing the hopes and dreams of those who dare to grow in the Na Pali Coast wilderness preserve, this however has not stopped local growers from creating some proper Pakalolo strains able to thrive and survive the rugged tropical Mauka (mountain) terrain of Kalalau that can now be shared with the world Mahalo (Thanks) to evolving laws and attitudes around the globe. Long flowering Hawaiian sativa strains like Kaua'i Electric and Kona Gold get too large, take too much time and are unlikely to harvest before helicopters hop on crops and hippies get popped... (...though there is legend of a small band of outlaws who still cultivate and preserve Hawai'i '78, a Sativa strain from Waiahole valley O'ahu in Kalalau Valley but that is another story for another camp fire...) Kalalau Kush is a creation from the late 90's of Kaua'i Electric x Trinity Kush. Bred to isolate a sativa dominant strawberry guava phenotype over the years some believed Kalalau Kush needed mo' Kush and a shorter flower time for those who chose to grow in the bush... Enter Pakistan Valley Kush, a hashy fast flowering landrace indica from the Hindu Kush mountain range. Pakistan Valley Kush (also known as "Old World Paki") is also the Grandmother of the legendary OG Kush. Kalalau Valley Kush has been bred to be Indica dominant and fast flowering while still retaining some sweet Hawaiian terpenes along with abundant Aloha from her Kaua'i Electric Grandfather. Now Mahalo (Thanks) to a donation from a hiker who will remain nameless and fameless, yet cares about proper Pakalolo representation across the healing of the nations -- Pua Mana 'Ohana can share this legendary Hawaiian Kush bush with you and your 'Ohana (Family)... Yield: Nui = Big, Large Flavor: Tropical, Hash, Earthy Guava Flower time: 7-8 weeks Photoperiod: Traditional 12/12 Indoor/Outdoor: Can/Can #KalalauValleyKush Do you find mistakes or wrong information? Or is there something you want to add?
