Strain Profile

Hangkrarok Fat Tail

This unique lowland landrace selection by Prempavee focuses on naturally short, stocky Hangkrarok plants with exceptional bud density. Carefully chosen for structure and productivity, this line proves that true Thai sativas don’t have to be tall and unmanageable. Highly responsive to nutrition, these plants can handle heavy feeding with ease —the more you give them, the fatter and denser the flowers become . This makes the variety especially attractive to growers seeking very high yields from authentic landrace genetics. Despite being a 100% sativa , the plant shows impressive robustness and adaptability. It thrives in warm, tropical, and subtropical outdoor environments, displaying excellent resistance to heat, heavy rain, wind, pests, and fungal pressure. Indoors, patience is rewarded with abundant harvests and compact, resinous buds rarely seen in traditional Thai lines. Aromatic profiles are dominated by mango, citrus, and fresh mint , while rarer phenotypes may express a distinctive fermented or rotten-meat funk highly prized by landrace hunters. Effects vary widely depending on harvest timing and curing methods, ranging from bright, uplifting and energetic to deeply psychedelic or even couch-locking . Technical Specifications Type: Landrace strain Format: Regular seeds Genetics: 100 % Sativa THC: ~13.72 % CBD: ~0.4 % CBG: ~0.3 % Flowering (Indoor): 14–18 weeks Flowering (Outdoor): December / January Yield: Very High Resistance: Spider mites: High Powder mildew: Average–High Botrytis: High White fly: High Cold: Average–High Heat: Very High Optimal Latitude: 0º – 37º Structure: Selection from short Hangkrarok plants with compact structure and fat buds Effects: Highly variable depending on harvest and curing, ranging from uplifting and energetic to psychedelic and deeply relaxing Aroma & Flavor: Mango, citrus, mint; rare phenotypes with fermented or rotten-meat notes Terpene Profile: Dominated by beta-myrcene, followed by limonene Growing Tips: Best suited for outdoor cultivation in warm and tropical climates, though adaptable to many environments. Extremely tolerant of heat and humidity. This variety thrives on strong nutrition and is easy to grow as long as pruning and defoliation are kept minimal. For increased secondary compound expression, reduce nitrogen after flowering begins. For maximum bud size and yield, continue feeding until harvest—the more you give, the more she rewards you.
