Strain Profile

Esp

ESP (Extra Sensory Perception) is a poly-hybrid landrace-inspired cultivar created by crossing a Double Dalai F3 male with a P1 female from the Maruf Kandahar TAP22 project (southern Afghanistan). This unique combination brings together Afghani desert genetics and exotic highland influences , resulting in a highly expressive plant with rare structure, aroma, and effects. ESP consistently expresses two clearly differentiated F1 phenotypes , both sharing the same terpene character and psychoactive profile but diverging strongly in plant architecture. Phenotypic Expressions Type 1 – Tall (F1) A tall, robust, apically dominant plant with wider internodal spacing and solid, conical buds . Its structure resembles highland hash plant populations , featuring elongated stems and a classic Christmas-tree growth pattern , ideal for vertical stacking and tighter plant spacing. Type 2 – Short (F1) A short, squat Afghani-style plant with very tight internodes and a stubby, bushy structure . This phenotype closely mirrors traditional Kandahar desert landraces , favoring lateral branching rather than vertical stretch. Despite their contrasting morphology, both phenotypes share the same aromatic evolution, flavor profile, and effects. Aroma & Flavor Profile ESP plants begin flowering with subtle sweetness and muted sour incense notes , which gradually develop into sharp, rancid, and highly astringent aromas . As maturity approaches, the bouquet intensifies, revealing aggressive notes reminiscent of floor cleaners, solvent adhesives, fuel, and butyl mercaptan , finishing with rank, sulphuric, rotting funk —a defining trait inherited from the Maruf Kandahar lineage . While the live plant aroma is raw and abrasive, the Double Dalai influence emerges strongly after drying and curing , delivering deep incense, hazy, and penetrating flavors when smoked, offering a striking contrast to the plant’s flowering-stage scent. Effects ESP delivers a slow-building, creeping high that differs radically from modern, fast-onset varieties. The effects rise gradually from the spine toward the head , eventually washing over the entire body. The experience is deeply relaxing and dreamlike : The mind drifts into a psychedelic, introspective state The body remains fully relaxed, heavy, and insulated , with long-lasting tactile sensations and subtle vibrations This unique combination offers a glimpse of classic Afghani couch-lock , fused with Double Dalai’s exotic, floating, and cerebral high . The effect profile is arguably ESP’s most outstanding trait , setting it apart from nearly any contemporary hybrid. It also tolerates cold nights during flowering and large temperature fluctuations without issue. The variety performs reliably indoors as well , responding best to moderate nutrient levels throughout the entire cycle , with slightly increased NPK during the first two-thirds of flowering .
