Stropharia rugosoannulata — the Garden Giant or King Stropharia. Large burgundy-capped mushroom easily cultivated outdoors in wood chip beds. Can reach 25cm cap diameter. Excellent nutty/wine-like flavor. Naturalizes in temperate gardens. One of the few mushrooms that improves garden soil health while producing food.
