Laetiporus sulphureus — bright orange and yellow shelf fungus growing on hardwoods. Named for its remarkable resemblance to cooked chicken in both texture and flavor. Cannot be commercially cultivated at scale. Wild-harvested only. A prized find for foragers. Some individuals show sensitivity — test small portions first.
